FAQ
What makes this organic cotton down comforter different from a regular down comforter?
This comforter combines a GOTS-certified organic cotton shell with premium down fill to provide a softer, more breathable sleep experience. The natural cotton fabric offers a comfortable feel, while the high-quality down insulation delivers warmth without unnecessary weight.
What are the benefits of sleeping with an organic cotton cover?
An organic cotton cover is naturally soft, breathable, and gentle on sensitive skin. It promotes excellent air circulation and helps regulate your body temperature, making this down feather comforter with corner ties a sustainable choice for you and the planet.
What is the difference between Lightweight, Medium, and Heavyweight options?
Our comforter is available in three warmth levels to match different sleep preferences and climates.
- Lightweight: Ideal for hot sleepers, warmer climates, or those who prefer a cooler sleep environment.
- Medium: A versatile choice that provides balanced comfort for year-round use and most sleepers.
- Heavyweight: Designed for cold sleepers and colder climates who prefer extra warmth and cozy insulation.
Is this organic cotton down comforter good for hot sleepers?
Yes. The Lightweight option provides breathable comfort for sleepers who prefer a cooler feel. For most sleepers, it offers a great balance of softness and warmth. However, for those who tend to sleep very hot or need maximum cooling performance, we recommend exploring our Ultra Lightweight Cooling Down Comforter, specially designed for warmer nights and hot sleepers.
How do I wash my down comforter?
Down comforters come with a small tag attached. The comforter label has detailed instructions about a recommended washing technique. Most down comforters are recommended to be dry cleaned by trusted cleaners.

Are down and feathers in this down comforter ethically sourced?
Yes, the down and feathers in this comforter are certified by the Responsible Down Standard (RDS). This voluntary global certification ensures that the materials are sourced from animals that have been treated humanely and not subjected to unnecessary harm.
I see dark spots inside my down comforter. Is it defective?
Not at all. The dark spots you may notice through the white fabric are naturally occurring black or gray down and feathers. These are completely normal and safe. We choose not to use chemical decolorizers, opting instead to limit darker feathers to about 1% for a more natural and healthy product.
Why does my down bedding have a scent?
A faint scent is natural and comes from the essential oils in down that help keep it soft and resilient. Even high-quality, clean down may have a mild odor—especially noticeable to those with a sensitive sense of smell. Heat, humidity, or prolonged moisture exposure can make the scent more noticeable.
To reduce or eliminate the smell, air out your down bedding in the sun for a few hours or tumble dry it on low heat until fully dry. Proper drying also helps prevent mildew.
