Superior Quality

European down is widely considered to be of higher quality than down from other regions, due to the strict regulations and standards placed on the industry in Europe.

Fluffier, Lighter, and More Durable_European Down

Fluffier, Lighter, and More Durable

European down is fluffier, lighter, and more durable thanks to larger, denser clusters grown in colder climates and upheld by strict quality standards.

100% Cotton Cover with Pinch-Pleat Design

Sleep better with German craftsmanship you can feel. This luxury down comforter features a 100% cotton cover in a smooth, breathable 430 thread count. The handcrafted pinch-pleat design creates a sculpted, high-loft look and helps keep the fill evenly distributed for cozy, consistent warmth—no shifting, no cold spots. Elegant on the bed, comfortable year-round, and made to last.

800 Fill Power: Bigger Down Clusters, More Warmth with Less Weight

Three white clusters labeled 600, 700, and 800 fill power, increasing in size from left to right on black background.

What is Fill Power

Fill power is a measure of down quality, expressed as the number of cubic inches one ounce of down can loft. The higher the fill power, the bigger the down clusters, which means more warmth with less weight and a softer, loftier feel.

Lighter, Warmer, Airier

800 fill power down uses larger, higher-quality clusters. Because each cluster traps more air, you need less down overall to achieve the same insulation. That means the comforter feels billowy and light, not heavy or bulky.

Naturally Breathable & Lasting Loft

800 fill power down is naturally breathable, allowing air to circulate so you stay warm without overheating. Its larger, stronger clusters also hold their shape longer, giving your comforter a lasting loft

FAQ

What does "Made in Germany" signify for your European bedding collection?

"Made in Germany" implies unrivaled craftsmanship, precision engineering, and rigorous quality control. It means each quality bedding in our collection is produced with centuries of German textile expertise, adhering to the highest manufacturing standards. This commitment guarantees exceptional durability, superior comfort, and pristine purity for the comfort experience.

What certifications do your Made in Germany products have, and what do they mean?

Our Made in Germany collection boasts several key certifications that guarantee both quality and ethical sourcing:

  • STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®: Guarantees that every component of the bed linen, from the fabric to the threads, has been tested for harmful substances and is safe for human health.
  • DOWNPASS: Provides traceability for down and feathers, verifying their ethical origin and ensuring strict animal welfare standards are met throughout the supply chain.
  • NOMITE®: Makes our comforters and pillows suitable for house dust mite allergy sufferers by confirming the fabric weave is so tight that dust mites cannot penetrate.
What is "baffle box construction" in your European comforters?

Baffle box construction refers to an internal three-dimensional fabric wall structure within the duvet insert that keeps the down fill evenly distributed. This design ensures fill shift prevention and reduces cold spots for optimal warmth through the entire comforter.

How do I care for my European bedding?

Proper care ensures the longevity and performance of your down bedding. Always read the care instructions on the label before washing. Daily fluffing of your bedding items helps to keep them in shape for years. Use a pillow protector or duvet cover/comforter cover for your down bedding to protect it from occasional spills or dirt.

How often should I wash my down comforter?

Down comforters require minimal washing—typically just once or twice a year. Using a comforter cover helps keep it clean and extends the time between washes.

How do I choose the right size down comforter for my bed?

Start by measuring the width and length of your mattress. Comforters are typically sized to match standard mattress dimensions—twin, full, queen, king, and California king. For the best coverage and a more luxurious drape, consider choosing a comforter that matches or slightly exceeds your mattress size.

I see dark spots inside my down comforter. Is it defective?

Not at all. The dark spots you may notice through the white fabric are naturally occurring black or gray down and feathers. These are completely normal and safe. We choose not to use chemical decolorizers, opting instead to limit darker feathers to about 1% for a more natural and healthy product.
