FAQ
What is the best material for a comforter?
It depends on individual preferences, needs, and specific requirements. To help you navigate this decision, there are a few key factors to consider. The best quality comforters typically offer a comforter filling of either down or down alternatives paired with outer fabric made from breathable and natural materials such as cotton, linen, or TENCEL™ Lyocell.
Are the down and feathers in your down comforters ethically sourced?
The down and feathers used in our down feather comforters have been certified to the RDS (Responsible Down Standard). RDS is a voluntary global standard aiming to ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to unnecessary harm.
How do I choose the right size down comforter for my bed?
Start by measuring the width and length of your mattress. Comforters are typically sized to match standard mattress dimensions—twin, full, queen, king, and California king. For the best coverage and a more luxurious drape, consider choosing a comforter that matches or slightly exceeds your mattress size.
I see dark spots inside my down comforter. Is it defective?
Not at all. The dark spots you may notice through the white fabric are naturally occurring black or gray down and feathers. These are completely normal and safe. We choose not to use chemical decolorizers, opting instead to limit darker feathers to about 1% for a more natural and healthy product.
Can I use a duvet cover with a down comforter?
Yes, you can certainly use a duvet cover or comforter cover on feather down comforters. Four corner tabs on the duvet insert facilitate effortless anchoring of your favorite duvet cover.
